The Instructional Designer Senior Specialist is an expert in learning and technology and supports the Office of Curriculum and Scholarship (OCS) in the College of Medicine by collaborating with faculty to promote educational strategies and innovations that increase learner engagement and improve learning outcomes. The core functions of the Instructional Designer include (1) consulting with faculty to develop and manage eLearning modules, guided learnings, textbooks, multimedia, and digital and print materials to support learning, scholarship, and proposals for funding; (2) collaborating with faculty to pilot new educational technologies and instructional approaches; (3) providing technical support and training for educational technologies; and (4) designing, implementing, and evaluating faculty development programs related to instruction and educational technology.
