Production Operator I

As a Production Technician, you will play a key role in producing dry powder food ingredient blends for IFF customers. This position requires attention to detail, adherence to safety and quality standards, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.

• Read and interpret computer-generated batch reports and packaging specifications.
• Identify product names, resource numbers, lot numbers, and warehouse locations.
• Verify batch weights and quantities using mathematical calculations.
• Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) for handling and storing food products.
• Operate forklifts safely and in compliance with company procedures.
• Lift packages up to 25 kg safely and consistently.
• Accurately operate weight scales with precision (+/- 0.3 lb).
• Stage batch ingredients and packaging materials in an organized manner.
• Sign off on raw materials, check for foreign materials, and record production details.
• Inspect batch ingredients and packaging materials against batch reports.
• Communicate effectively with team members and management to ensure smooth operations.
• Clean and prepare materials for processing.
• Operate packaging equipment with accuracy.
• Pull and place retain/QC samples as specified.
• Store finished products and rework materials in designated areas.
• Identify raw materials to prevent contamination.
• Apply HACCP principles in daily tasks.
• Follow all plant policies regarding safety, sanitation, maintenance, and conduct.
• Clean magnets and perform metal checks before each shift.
• Conduct physical inventory counts of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Strong mathematical skills.
• Ability to work independently and comply with safety and sanitation standards.
• Prior experience in a food production environment is preferred.
• Forklift experience and license required (training provided during onboarding).
• Familiarity with IFF equipment is a plus.

• 100% of work is performed in a production/plant environment.
• Exposure to hazardous materials; safety training is mandatory.
• Required use of safety gear including clothing, glasses, and masks.
• Must be available for overtime as needed.
