Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

55%

Takes applications for commercial loan business. Partners with Credit Analysis to complete underwriting and obtains appropriate loan approvals. Completes or directs completion of all loan documents and closes loans.

Participates in developing lending and deposit business for the bank. Calls on clients to expand existing business; calls on prospects seeking opportunities to expand the bank's client base.

Monitors existing loan portfolio to maintain a high-quality asset base. Helps to maintain up-to-date credit files including current balance sheets, profit & loss statements, cash flow projections and all loan documentation.

Assists in collection of past due loans.

Assists customers with any loan-related questions and concerns.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Performance Measurements:

1.

To comply with the letter and with the spirit of the bank's Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.

To maintain the confidentiality of customer and any other sensitive information.

3.

To produce assigned loan volume (dollars and/or numbers).

4.

To maintain loan portfolio within the standards established for delinquencies and charged-off loans.

5.

To ensure that lending operations are in accordance with established bank policy and are legally compliant.

6.

To maintain a professional, courteous, and friendly atmosphere for customers and co-workers.

7.

To acquire and maintain a working knowledge of regulations and bank procedures. To comply with the provisions of the Bank Secrecy Act and other laws and regulations.

8.

To complete required training and undertake additional training as needed to increase job knowledge and maximize productivity.

Knowledge and Skills:

Experience

Eight years to ten years similar or related experience.

Education

(1) A master's degree, or (2) a bachelor's degree plus professional certification (e.g. CPA).

Interpersonal Skills

Work frequently involves exercising advanced conflict resolution, giving material presentations, and resolving issues impacting multiple departments or divisions. Role also requires the ability to motivate or influence others as a material part of the role, with a significant level of diplomacy and trust. Obtaining cooperation (internally and/or externally) is an important part of the role and a high level of interpersonal skills is critical to the success of this position.

Other Skills

Must have experience in analyzing business financial statements and assessing the viability of businesses; must have excellent communication and PR skills; ability to use related software required.

Physical Requirements

The person in this position needs to frequently move about inside the office to interact with associates or clients and access office machinery and file cabinets. The person in the position constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, photocopier, and printer.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment and may require travel to branches and other locations. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as calculators, computers, phones, photocopier, filing cabinets and fax machines.
