Position Overview

The Systems Engineer II -For this role specifically, the Systems Engineer II will be responsible for setting up desktop systems and supporting Go-Live Epic system implementations at member locations. This position requires travel 1-week per month. In General, the System Engineer II would be responsible for developing, maintaining and troubleshooting systems related hardware, operating systems, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, configuration changes, system performance, and other technologies as described below.

Essential Duties

  • Specify, Operate, and Maintain platforms related to Windows and Linux Operating Systems (Server and Desktop platforms).
  • Ensures production infrastructure meets all service level commitments.
  • Responsible for Active Directory Enterprise Administration, Active Directory process automation.
  • Participate and/or lead in complex customer and internal projects.
  • Proactively and reactively look for solutions to prevent complex problems from occurring across teams/technologies.
  • Develop and Maintain systems documentation and standard operating procedures.
  • Participation in on-call rotation with other Systems Staff.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Travel up to 25% required (equates to 1 week per month)
Requirements
  • Minimum of 4- years of experience in System Administration is required (more experience highly preferred)
  • Minimum of 3-years of help desk experience and/or MSP experience is highly desired
  • Healthcare IT experience is highly preferred
  • ECSA Certification preferred
  • Knowledge of Enterprise Windows Active Directory administration.
  • Automated systems deployment is a plus.
  • Strong people skills and customer service required
  • Ability to work well, stay calm under pressure, and meet tight deadlines
  • ***NOTE: Prior to moving forward to the team interview, all candidates are required to complete a 50-60-minute competency assessment. The assessment gives us insights into how your strengths, preferences, and work style align with the OCHIN's nine core competencies. It's not about passing or failing-it's about understanding fit and setting you up for success.
  • Must be able to travel 12 times per year (1 -week per month)

Work Location and Travel Requirements

  • It is a requirement that employees work in a distraction free workplace
  • This position will travel to member locations to set up for Go-live implementations. Travel designated for 1-week per month (12 trips per year). Candidates should live no more than 45-minutes of a major airport.

Base Pay Overview - Salary Range ($98,552 - $115,691)

OCHIN uses broadened pay bands to support equitable and market-aligned compensation practices. For this role, the typical offer range falls between the minimum and midpoint of the pay band. Level information is listed below. The final offer will be based on a variety of factors, including relevant skills, certifications, education, experience, training, responsibilities, internal equity, and market data.

  • Level I: Typically pays between the minimum and 30th percentile of the band
  • Level II: Typically pays between the 15th and 35th percentile of the band
  • Level III: Typically pays between the 30th and 55th percentile of the band
