What You'll Do

Under the direct supervisor of a Registered Nurse, you'll

• Start and discontinue IVs
• Insert and remove urinary catheters
• Change dressings and reinforce patient education
• Hang maintenance IV fluids (no additives)
• Participate in discharge teaching and patient positioning per direction of nursing staff
• Report patient updates to nursing staff
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Contribute to a supportive, learning-focused environment

Who Should Apply

This internship is designed for nursing students who are:

• Currently enrolled in a Baccalaureate Nursing program
• Anticipating graduation within 12 months of the internship
• Enrolled in a Clinical Elective Nursing Internship course for the duration of the internship
• Enrolled in an accredited nursing program in Minnesota
• Maintaining a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale

Compensation

Many factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation such as: the requirements of the position, experience, education, knowledge, and skills along with location and internal equity. Pay listed does not include any shift, weekend, or other differentials.
