Your Job Koch Ag & Energy Solutions (KAES) is seeking a procurement professional, often referred to as a Procurement Leader to work in our Wichita, KS headquarters within our Procurement organization. As a Procurement Leader, you will play a pivotal role in driving our company's operational success and ensuring our competitive edge in the market. Our Team This position will be located at our headquarters in Wichita, KS and require about 25% travel to our production facilities in the US and Canada. What You Will Do Collaborate with business partners to develop and sustain a strategic vision, refine contracting and purchasing strategies, and reduce supply chain risks. Create knowledge processes to enhance transparency and competitiveness while aligning supplier incentives with business objectives to ensure clear ownership of deliverables between KAES and counterparties. Cultivate strong relationships with other KAES groups, suppliers, and vendors to support regular performance assessments, resolve issues, anticipate future needs, and facilitate continuous vendor feedback Transform the role and our business through the challenge process, market discovery, as well as the use of tools and technology. Create value by obtaining, analyzing, and evaluating market quotes, negotiating prices and commercial terms, and offering recommendations to internal customers. Ensure these recommendations align with business needs with lowest total cost of ownership. Review and negotiate commercial agreements in alignment with Koch's risk philosophy. Use daily, weekly, monthly reporting tools to support procurement capability for your designated site and team. Promote purchasing transactional excellence through coaching procurement facing teammates, resolving disputes internally and externally, increasing the use of higher efficiency tools like Ariba, Track, and others. Travel to supported plant(s) as needed, estimated up to 25% regular travel. Potential to require more travel during maintenance cycle years every 3-4 years. Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, supply chain, or a related field OR an equivalent or higher level of experience 2+ years of procurement/buyer or supply chain management experience in a manufacturing environment Experience with negotiation across various types of audiences Experience analyzing and solving problems, while utilizing data analysis and development tools Experience collaborating in a fast-paced environment, successfully partnering with both internal and external customers What Will Put You Ahead Experience in developing strategic partnerships with key suppliers Experience in category management, procurement, supply chain, contracts, or related role Experience in capital project procurement strategy development, sourcing, and execution Advanced data analytical skills and in leveraging data to drive business results Knowledge in labor markets and in managing the contracted services commodity for a business This position is not eligible for employment visa sponsorship.
