The Director of Underwriting for Employer & Individual Local Markets will manage a team of underwriters that support the Financial Protection (FP) Product Suite: Life, Disability, Absence & the Supplemental Health products (CIPP, APP & HIPP). The Financial Protection Director of Underwriting will provide leadership to and are accountable for the performance of their team. Additionally, they will serve as a technical resource on unique topics and share their knowledge with the broader Specialty underwriting teams. They will be responsible for the following in their assigned region for both new business and renewals, giving them responsibility for meeting and/or exceeding the financial and membership goals of the regional book of business for the FP products. The position provides underwriting leadership to evaluate risk and determine case specific rating to Life, Disability, Leave and Supplemental Health new business and renewals to meet/exceed our IOI goals. It is a high-impact leadership role that requires deep underwriting expertise, cross-functional collaboration, and a solid focus on execution and innovation. The FP Director of Underwriting will also be responsible for setting national underwriting strategy and targets, and for meeting/exceeding their specific region's financial goals. You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week. Primary Responsibilities:

The salary for this role will range from $132,200 to $226,600 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
