OB/GYN (5B) nurses provide care for post-partum, mother/baby couplets and medical-surgical patients. Patients served include various GYN conditions, GYN/Oncology, Obstetrical Complications, and Mother/Baby Couplets. Our medical/ surgical population consists of various GYN surgical procedures, bariatric weight loss surgical procedures, colon resections and other minor colon surgeries, and general medical patients. Labor and Delivery nurseworks with mothers during the final stages of pregnancy helping with birthing, monitoring the mother's vital signs, and becoming astute in signs and symptoms of possible complications. Mother Baby nurses, also known as a postpartum nurse, is a nurse who cares for people and their newborn babies immediately after birth. Mother baby nurses have a desire to educate and care for new parents and their newborns. NICU nurses at this levelcare for very sick newborns, usually with congenital problems or who are very premature. They may need incubators, ventilators, surgery, and other supporting equipment. PICU isthe section of the hospital that provides sick children with the highest level of medical care. It differs from other parts of the hospital, like the general medical floors. In the PICU, kids get intensive nursing care and close monitoring of things like heart rate, breathing, and blood pressure. Pedicatric nurses care for children from infancy through the late teen years and their families. You must provide official transcripts from Nursing School prior to starting.
