FOX News is seeking a dynamic and organized Producer to join the new weekend program The Sunday Briefing, airing Sundays at 11am ET. The Producer will take an editorial lead in writing, planning, and guest pitching, for a show tackling all facets of the White House beat. You will work hand in hand with the top White House Correspondents in the industry, pitching compelling story ideas, securing top-tier guests, and collaborating with the rest of the show team. As a Producer, you have excellent editorial judgment and knowledge of national politics. You write with urgency, style, brevity, and deliver substantial news in a highly produced environment, while being able to quickly turn around breaking news.

You will be offered the following shift: Wednesday - Sunday.

A SNAPSHOT OF RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Use your knowledge of current events, national politics, and strong editorial judgment to pitch newsmaker and informative guest interviews

  • Lead booking team for the show

  • Actively seeking out the freshest elements for story selection, including finding compelling sound, new video, and utilize strong graphics to help illustrate the story

  • Use your control room experience to help execute a seamless show on air, including formatting program rundowns, and communicating effectively with technical staff

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • 5+ years of political reporting in a broadcast, print, or digital work environment

  • Exceptional editorial judgment

  • Strong communication and writing skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and prioritize on a daily basis, especially in breaking news situations

  • Flexibility to work various shifts when needed, including regular weekend work

  • Willingness to travel when necessary

  • Bachelor's degree in journalism or related field of study preferred, or equivalent experience

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $83,000.00-100,000.00 annually. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
