Product Manager Develops and implements the strategic direction for power connections within the datacenter market in support of product line and divisional goals. Acts as a focal point for market knowledge, profitability, forecasts, commercialization, and planning. What You Will Do In Your Role * Develops and implements strategic product and annual business plans in datacenter market and focused customers * Identifies product line trends and technologies in datacenter market. Leads long range product planning. * Increases sales and market share of assigned product line in support of Divisional objectives. Tracks progress to plan for revenue, profit, and backlog. * Reviews and approves special price requests, and develops pricing strategies for new and existing products. * Manages new development activity within datacenters associated with extending and growing the life of assigned product line. * Develops product promotion and commercialization plans for datacenter market including: sales tools, literature, distribution, stocking, training, and sampling. * Supports Molex TQM program by following approved policies and procedures. Additional Skills Organizational skills to anticipate, plan, prioritize and self-monitor workload. Effective written and oral communication skills that demonstrate the ability to express ideas, exchange information clearly and concisely, and deliver concise and effective presentations to customers and Molex personnel. Interpersonal skills to effectively work with co-workers and external contacts to respond positively to situations. Must be self-motivated and goal oriented. The candidate/incumbent must be proactive rather than reactive and must be able to demonstrate personal initiative. Travel to customers and Molex sites as needed.
