Purpose of Job This casual position is responsible for the evaluation, treatment, documentation and education of Occupational Therapy clients accessing the Rehab Specialties department in the acute care setting at both our Waconia and Arlington locations. This position is a weekend and casual position including participation in weekend and holiday rotation helping support our Arlington acute care and Swingbed on the weekends; opportunity exists for weekday need as well in both locations. Job Functions
Performs evaluations, documents care, and discharges client cases according to RMC and professional standards.
Provides current and quality treatment, utilizing Ridgeview and professional resources to promote continued quality care.
Communicates with the patient, health care providers, insurer and others to ensure that patient needs are addressed.
Exhibits working knowledge of hours of operation, customer base, department operations, visit procedures (i.e. Home Care), and chart audit procedures.
Understands and uses reimbursement and regulatory guidelines for care and environment.
Provides effective supervision of aides, students and volunteers when occupational therapy is provided.
Assists in keeping treatment environment, tools and equipment organized, clean, and safe to maximize treatment effectiveness.
Provides professional and courteous customer service to internal and external customers.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Ability to work independently and organize tasks
Ability to meet and maintain the necessary background checks as aligned with position functions
Ability to communicate in the English language for effective written and verbal correspondence in order to complete job functions as mentioned above

Ability to promote Rehab Specialties services
Ability to change work locations with or without prior notification in order to meet customer needs
Ability to serve patients in a friendly and efficient manner
Knowledge of basic computer functions and Microsoft Office applications
