Estimator Consult with customers, draftsman, machinists and other departments for work to be done with outside vendors and specialty in-house work. Coordinate with and consult other workers to design, lay-out, or detail components and systems and to resolve design or other problems using Solidworks. Ensure customer specifications are communicated clearly and accurately to allow for efficient production and on-time delivery. Estimate time and materials for projects per customer specifications, taking into account lead-times, shop capability and outside operations. Maintain knowledge of tooling capabilities and current inventory for best production procedures. Maintains client relationships by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities and continuing needs. Review financials on completed jobs to adequately quote future similar jobs.
