About the role

The Field Service Technician II has completed CES Field Services Technician I training and/or has the equivelant experience.

The Field Service Technician II is responsible for the clean up and transportation of Hazardous and Non-Hazardous waste. Field Service Technician II is expected to perform various tasks including but not limited to loading and unloading tanks and tankers with bulk liquids, complete inspection of equipment, hoses and connections as well as perform confined space entry.

Additionally, the Field Service Technician II will operate a variety of equipment including but not limited to pressure washers, hand trucks, forklifts and power tools and power tools with minimal direct supervision in accordance with company policies and procedures as well as OSHA requirements, and all local, state and federal laws.

Field Service Technican II is required to have a Valid State Drivers License

All employees must successfully complete pre-employment drug screen, physical, and background check as well as a Motor Vehicle Report, previous employment and criminal history records review

Responsibilites

  • Driving a commercial vehicle to pick up and transport waste to a designated location safely while meeting scheduled appointments and following all DOT regulations
  • Inspects truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil and water. Secures cargo prior to and during transport
  • Leads team on small daily confined space projects, communicating with the Project Manager and onsite customers
  • Daily work in confined space entry, mechanics, industrial hygiene instrumentation, pneumatic, electrical tools, and/or other tools as needed
  • Use of hydro blast equipment, forklift, skid loader, specialty vacuum equipment and/or other equipment as needed

Preferred Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, preferred

  • Minimum of 1 - 2 years of experience, preferred.

  • Possess 40 HR HAZWOP certification.

Physical Demands of the Role

  • Ability to walk, stand, sit, and climb

  • Ability to lift/carry 50lbs

  • Ability to work from heights and in confined spaces

  • Ability to kneel, crawl, stoop, bend or twist for extended periods of time.

  • Qualify to wear a full-face respirator

  • Consistently work in various weather conditions
