Why M Physicians?

The Cardiovascular Device Technician facilitates and maintains efficient, organization and continuity of care within the device clinic. The cardiovascular technician provides clerical and administrative support to the device clinic. This person will perform delegated functions of data collection and delivery of care to an assigned group of patients, or individualized patient. This person will also work under the direction of a Registered Nurse, or physician/authorized practitioner and in collaboration with other members of the healthcare team.

What you will do as a Cardiovascular Device Technician:

  • Registers new patients in Paceart, ensuring appropriate documentation and reporting of information.
  • Enrolls patients in device company website.
  • Ensures remote monitor has been ordered and follows through with patient has received transmitter.
  • Instructs patients in remote ICD, loop recorder and pacemaker home monitoring transmitters.
  • Trouble shoots with pts unable to successfully send a remote transmission.
  • Acts as a resource for patients and families regarding device instructions.
  • Works closely with manufacturer reps for any needed information.
  • Communicates verbal and written information in a clear, concise, accurate, and timely manner.
  • Uses communication approaches appropriate to patient/family needs.

What you will need:

  • Trained and deemed proficient to evaluate patients via remote monitoring
  • Current BLS certification/course completion.
  • Minimum of 3 years of medical work in clinical setting.
  • Knowledge of EKG and cardiology devices.
  • Knowledge of how to operate cardiac device equipment.
  • Ability to put patients at ease while performing procedures and tests that may be very uncomfortable.

Hours: 1.0 FTE

Compensation:

30.93 - 44.85 USD Hourly
