Overview
The Post Closer Residential role is responsible for booking all residential mortgage loans, auditing each loan file for accuracy, and ensuring timely delivery of loan collateral and final documentation to investors. The role includes delivering loan commitments to secondary market investors and ensuring accurate gain/loss reporting for all loans sold. The role is also responsible for ensuring the loan delivery system is properly mapped to all investors to minimize reconciliation items that may delay funding or result in audit findings. Additional responsibilities include final document reconciliation and coordination with internal mortgage loan team members and investors to support the timely purchase of loans.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
Qualifications
- 2-4 years of experience in the mortgage industry, specializing in government-insured loans and post-closing processes.
- Strong understanding of the mortgage process from origination through post-closing.
- Essential knowledge of mortgage industry concepts, practices, and procedures, as well as mortgage loan documentation and government insuring processes is a must.
- This individual should have underwriting or significant processing experience.
- Ability to serve as the primary point of contact to resolve and escalate issues using effective problem-solving skills.
- Experience with conventional, FHA, VA, and GSE delivery required.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
- Strong work ethic with solid analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
Education
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
