Position Summary:
The Senior Content Marketing team populates the Almo Product Content Database with valuable data and materials to support the sales teams and dealers alike. The database feeds directly to Almo's dealer portal (Almo Access). This position gathers, creates and maintains all product-based content for Almo's manufacturer partner brands serving all divisions of the company. Responsibilities include researching, compiling and/or creating the materials needed to market products offered by Almo's manufacturer partner brands, most specifically those marketed towards the ProAV, Dealer, Premium Appliance channels. This may include manuals, images, marketing copy, spec sheets, attributes, website content, and enhanced content. This includes sourcing and collating product information from our vendors and purchasing managers as well as creating these materials in-house when not available from the manufacturer. The Marketing Specialist, Vendor Content, imports the data into Almo's product database, formatting the information to be clear, concise and representative of each particular brand.
There are three levels of this position: Junior, Specialist and Senior roles, which are differentiated by related experience and complexity of account management responsibility.
What you will do in this role:
- Content Creation: Collect and/or create all marketing materials for the products represented by Almo's partner brands. This includes attributes, spec sheets, marketing copy, images, digital assets, videos, product manuals and associated materials.
- Setup and maintain above content in Almo's product database. Includes addressing internal and external content needs.
- Proof, edit and proactively review content to ensure accuracy and consistency with copy, images and product presentation while meeting established deadlines.
- Manage and coordinate with 3 rd party contractors, including assigning projects and reviewing content provided by contract services to ensure accuracy and consistency in product marketing.
- Collaboration with IT resources to maintain integrations with external data sources that to help fulfill content for a high volume of products, including maintaining reporting of the success and efficiency of those resources.
- Accurately maintain databases, design library, digital files and records for assigned brands.
- Participate in special assignments or projects, utilizing core skills and expertise as required.
What we look for in a candidate:
- Bachelor's degree; significant relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Vendor Marketing Specialist or in a similar mid-to-senior-level marketing role
- Excellent copywriting skills with the ability to write marketing and technical copy
- Systems experience:
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including but not limited to Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator (specifically regarding image manipulation, including resizing, reformatting, etc.)
- Proficiency with Excel spreadsheets
- Very strong internet browser / data manipulation skills
- Working knowledge of web content management systems
- Working knowledge of MS Office and familiarity with databases
- High level of attention to detail and proactive approach to problem solving
- Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks, problem solving and managing to simultaneous deliverable dates.
- Strong oral/written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong skills in multitasking and fielding/responding to requests from various sources.
- Ability to respond and perform swiftly and seamlessly in a rapidly changing environment.

The majority of each day is spent seated working at a computer. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand and walk. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and color vision.
Qualifications
What we look for in a candidate:
- Bachelors degree with emphasis in graphic design, web design, visual communication, advertising or a related field; significant relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree. Ability to create and produce graphic and digital materials using a range of media.
- Excellent copywriting skills with the ability to write marketing and technical copy
- Systems experience:
- Mastery of skills with Adobe Creative Suite, including but not limited to Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator (Proficient with image manipulation including resizing, reformatting, etc.)
- Proficiency with Excel spreadsheets
- Very strong internet browser / data manipulation skills
- Working knowledge of web content management systems
- Working knowledge of MS Office and familiarity with databases
- High level of attention to detail and proactive approach to problem solving
