Job Title: Residential Assessment Clinician
Reports to: Program Manager, Recovery Residential
Accountable to: Director of Recovery Residential
Position Overview:
This full-time position is now available providing assessment and treatment planning for adults participating in residential programming services. Candidates will be energetic and internally driven to assist individuals in gaining linkage to necessary services to assist in recovery of mental health and/or substance use disorders.
Clinical Responsibilities Include:
- Face-to-face assessment sessions with clients seeking services on both the crisis stabilization unit and the residential rehabilitation unit
- Provides short-term linkage to case management, therapy, and peer support services while the individual participates in residential services
- Collaborates with screening and intake staff regarding plans for admissions and discharges to ensure all individuals receive an assessment and/or treatment plan within 24 hours of admission to residential services
- Completes written assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes within established timelines
- Coordination and active participation in the referral and linkage healthcare providers
- Participate in a team-based approach to providing treatment within the outpatient team
- Will attend weekly staff meeting with care team
Knowledge, Skills, and Ability:
- Ideal candidates will have a history of experience, education, and/or training in substance use, mental health, or the desire and commitment to gain the skills to provide behavioral health treatment services
- Ability to engage individuals when they are asking for help and decrease barriers to accessing treatment
- Ability to balance rapport building and assessment completion to ensure individuals are met with hope and support during the initial days of their admission
- Organized and able to develop a program plan with goals, objectives, and timeframes that follow the SMART goal framework
- Energetic and internally driven to assist individuals in gaining linkage to necessary services
- Knowledge of community resources and/or willingness to research what is needed for the client
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work as a team player
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to navigate electronic health record
Education and Experience:
The successful candidate will minimally possess a Bachelors' degree in Human Services, Psychology, Social Work or related field, or have 5 years' working experience in Human Services. Master's degree in counseling and guidance, rehabilitation counseling, social work, vocational counseling, psychology, pastoral counseling, or family therapy, as well as education/experience to be a QMHP (Qualified Mental Health Professional) is highly recommended. Licensure as a CADC, LCSW, LCPC, LPC, or LSW is required within 2 years of employment.
Salary Range:
Bachelor's Degree (MHP): $23.00- $26.00 an hour
Mater's Degree (QMHP): $60,000 - $67,000 annually based on certification and/or licensure
