This position is located at Kwajalein Atoll, Republic of the Marshall Islands.
Essential Functions
- Monitor, direct, evaluate, and manage all aspects of a Government Owned Contractor Operated Calibration lab supporting RGNext's RETS Contract on Kwajalein Atoll, RMI.
- Perform and/or manages any combination of the following tasks: Receive, package, ship, schedule, and monitor the calibration, verification, and repair of TMDE both on and off-island.
- Manage the department budget and purchases.
- Train, guide, and mentor employees in USATA and RGNext calibration strategies, regulations, and policies.
- Execute the guidance of the logistics, and Deputy Program Manager.
- Coordinate with USATA and Commercial calibration laboratories to ensure calibration and/or repair of all Kwajalein TMDE is accomplished.
- Contact vendors to request Quotes and RMAs for all authorized Vendor Calibrated TMDE supported by RGNext.
- Coordinate, communicate, and consult with all customers requiring TMDE Scheduling and Calibration accounts.
- Receive, analyze, and generate TMDE status reports to monitor and relay calibration status to customers.
- Create charts, metrics, and business information used to generate presentations and to develop new goals and strategies for the lab.
- Oversee, develop, monitor, and counsel employee professional career path development and provide team day-to-day direction.
- Actively employs leadership, management techniques, and industry best practices.
- Ensure all equipment and procedures are NIST Traceable.
- Follow the guidance and regulations contained within TB43-180, TB750-25, AR750-43, AR750-1, RETS Contract PWS, and USATA Policies, Procedures, and USATA audit requirements.
- Utilize Six Sigma or other process improvement tools and strategies to safely increase efficiency and TMDE turn-around time.
- Prepare and submit RACS, DA3758, DA2028, DA7372, and DD1149 as required, to include all supporting documentation.
- Prepare Purchase Requests for Equipment Calibration and Purchase.
- Order supplies via Maximo asset management software.
- Manage data within USATA's TMDE Integrated Materiel Management System (TIMMS).
- Prepare and submits weekly and monthly reports.
- Communicate with internal and external customers, labs, and vendors.
- Ensure assigned tasks are accurate and completed on schedule.
- On occasion will drive vehicles to transport TMDE standards from Cal Lab to Customer's location to aid in calibrations.
- Aid other departments when requested to provide mission support.
- Understand and adhere to Safety and Risk assessment concepts.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills
- A working knowledge of the US Army TMDE Activity (USATA) calibration requirements, policies, and practices or similar calibration activity (e.g., Air Force PMEL, or Navy METCAL labs).
- A working knowledge or AR750-1, AR750-43, TB750-25, TB43-180.
- Use a variety of material handling equipment: Manual, Electric, and Motorized.
- Self-discipline, initiative, and willingness to go above and beyond.
- Ability to lead, train and mentor employees individually and as a team.
- Attention to detail and ability to work within multiple areas of complexity.
- Team- Oriented employee who can think critically and act independently.

Required Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Organizational Leadership, Management or a related discipline, or combination of education & experience.
- Five (5) or more years Leadership / Management experience. Business Management and Calibration Lab experience preferred.
- Certification(s) in Lean Six Sigma, desired.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
- Required to pass a Federal Background Investigation to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC).
- Must be able to relocate to the United States Army Kwajalein Atoll, Marshall Islands.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. passport.
- The flexibility to work occasional non-duty hours or on weekends to support specific project or mission requirements. This includes the ability to repsond to notifications in event the building is found unsecure or the Intrusion Detection System (IDS) is activated.
- Ability to obtain and maintain USAG-KA driver's license, specifically for each piece of equipment required for the job.
- This position is unaccompanied.
- Must be physically able to conduct various unaided range of motion movements to include bending, twisting and climbing 15 feet.
- Ability to push/pull/lift a minimum of 40 pounds unassisted.
- Ability to be flexible in a changing work environment.
