What You Will Do:
  • Operate, monitor, adjust and trouble-shoot a water treatment facility consisting of lift stations, Rotary drum screen, DAFs (dissolved air flotation) pH adjustment, MBBRs (moving bed biological reactors), pumps, tanks and its processes in accordance with established procedures, monitors and use a SCADA system.
  • Collect water samples, perform laboratory testing, analyze and record results and data in accordance with company and regulatory requirements
  • Comply with all OSHA and Company Safety Programs and requirements
  • Handle general maintenance and upkeep around the wastewater plant to ensure well-kept and safe work environment
  • Maintain logbooks, data entry in log sheets, and weekly summaries to Site Manager
  • Visual inspections of plant equipment and perform maintenance on equipment including pumps meters and measuring equipment
  • Assist in loading sludge trucks
  • Work with chemicals and dosing pumps
  • General mechanical PM and repairs
  • Work a rotating four day 10-hour shift per 7-day work week with occasional call in and overtime
  • Other tasks assigned by the Site Manager
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Basic hand tool selection and use.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in Industrial Wastewater Treatment or Maintenance, Particularly with Activated Sludge or DAF Operations.
  • Familiarity with Laboratory Procedures and Equipment
  • Self-starter
  • Equipment maintenance experience
Physical Demands:
  • Must be able to physically perform the essential duties of the position which include lifting, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, balancing, walking, standing, climbing vertical ladder
  • Must be able to pass a drug screen and physical exam
  • Must be willing to work indoors and outdoors in all seasons and weather.
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds safely

Annual or Hourly Compensation Range

The pay range for this position is $54,200 - $81,200. Many factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation, such as experience, education, training, geography, etc. We comply with all minimum wage and overtime laws.
