Chemistry Technician II

Entegris is currently seeking a Chemistry Technician II to join our Analytical Operations team. This position will be based in our Burnet, TX facility.

In this role, you will support laboratory operational readiness through management of chemicals, supplies, and equipment. This position will ensure availability of chemicals, sampling media, and supplies to enable execution against projects and plant production schedule. Maintaining performance of laboratory processes is key to ensuring testing turn-around times and support of critical quality systems.

Shift Schedule: 2nd shift (2:00 PM - 11:00 PM) Tuesday - Saturday.

What You'll Do

• Support laboratory staff by maintaining glassware, daily logs, chemical solutions make-up, waste disposal, and equipment record books

• Prepare sample media ensuring the needed cleanliness for trace metals analysis and accurate chemical composition.

• Follow strict safety protocols and maintain a clean and orderly environment

• Monitor laboratory supply inventory, placing orders and verifying receipt

• May provide sample prep and analysis as needed to support plant testing and projects

• Lead or assist in lab continuous improvement projects, quality initiatives, 5S and safety programs

What We Seek

• Minimum of High School Diploma with 3+ years of experience in a laboratory setting

• Working knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel) and database systems

Preferred Qualifications

• Associates Degree in a scientific discipline

• Previous experience operating laboratory equipment and handling chemicals (flammable liquids, corrosives, and toxic compounds)

• Knowledge of proper safe handling/disposal of chemicals and ability to maintain a clean and safe work environment

• Knowledge of laboratory sciences/operation and chemistry a plus

• Previous experience working in a clean room environment preferred

• Working knowledge of quality systems, preventative measures and laboratory best practices

• Must be able to regularly lift up to 50lbs; and stand for majority of work shift
