The Weinberg Intensive Care Unit (WICU) is a fast-paced, 20-bed Surgical ICU at the Johns Hopkins Hospital. Our diverse patient population receives a wide range of complex surgeries, including-but not limited to-Surgical ENT, GI Surgery, Trauma, Orthopedic/Neuro-Spine procedures, and General Surgery. This variety offers nurses an exceptional opportunity to broaden their clinical expertise and build confidence in caring for critically ill patients with highly complex needs. The team is composed of a multidisciplinary group of professionals, including Registered Nurses (RNs), Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Patient Care Technicians, Support Staff, Respiratory Therapists, and Pharmacists. Together, they collaborate to deliver patient- and family-centered care of the highest quality. The WICU is proud to be recognized for its culture of teamwork, inclusivity, and excellence. In 2024, they received the AACN Gold Beacon Award for Excellence, the highest honor for nursing excellence, and they have also been awarded the Society of Critical Care Medicine's Family-Centered Care Award, reflecting their commitment to supporting not only patients but their families as well. Salary Range: Minimum 35.02 per hour - Maximum 52.69 per hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
