Location: 11501 Outlook Street - Overland Park, Kansas 66211 CloserJob Description | Activities you focus on to perform day-to-day tasks The Closer plays an essential and dynamic role within the Commercial Mortgage Group, supporting the successful execution of transactions and demonstrating a commitment to excellence from the initial review to final delivery. CMG Agency Closers must be fully accountable for all activities that fall within their area of responsibility and have the knowledge to quickly assess situations, identify issues and work toward successful resolution. Under the direction of the Closing Manager the Closer is responsible for the following activities: Essential Job Functions: The Closer reviews every Term Sheet and Application with keen attention to detail, ensuring a thorough understanding of each transaction and proactively seeking clarification when needed. Actively participating in weekly client and pipeline calls, the Closer is instrumental in gathering essential information that keeps transactions progressing smoothly and efficiently toward closing. Coordinating with 3rd party consultants on insurance reviews is critical for the Closer, as is the careful review and approval of all required closing due diligence documents required by KeyBank and/or the investor. Compliance is part of every transaction completed with closers taking a pivotal role in ensuring rigorous attention is given to complying with applicable laws, lending regulatory requirements, as well as investor requirements. This includes the Closer utilizing software tools such as BS/BO, MCA, and RSQ for regulatory compliance purposes. In addition, legal and closing processes are proactively managed by the Closer, with the Closer swiftly identifying any concerns, collaborating with sales and mortgage bankers, underwriters, and legal counsel to develop effective solutions, and escalating matters to appropriate stakeholders when needed. Maintaining up-to-date information in the Loan Origination system for all assigned loans is a matter of routine, as is utilizing approved document repositories for borrower due diligence while securing consents as applicable. The Closer leverages technology to streamline operations and is dedicated to mastering every facet of the closing process. After funding, due diligence documents are promptly delivered to Loan Servicing, and any necessary updates are completed on the Agency website. The Closer also creates and maintains the Closing Workbook, diligently tracking transaction progress using comprehensive checklists from start to finish. In summary, the Closer ensures all assigned loans are closed efficiently, consistently meeting credit approval and compliance requirements, strict closing deadlines, and company performance metrics. Teamwork and exceptional client service are hallmarks of this position. Supporting colleagues and serving as a reliable backup when needed, the Closer maintains the highest standards of professionalism and accountability. Adherence to internal policies, regulatory compliance, and timely completion of risk training underscore a strong risk management ethos. Risks are identified, managed, and escalated as necessary, and corrective action plans are completed without delay. Throughout every stage, they uphold ethical business conduct, avoid conflicts of interest, and always act in the best interest of both clients and the organization. Required Qualifications: (License, Certificates, Education Skills, etc.) The ideal candidate would have a 4-year college degree or equivalent real estate business experience. Someone who demonstrates a solution-oriented mindset, strong problem-solving skills, and meticulous attention to detail. High aptitude for analysis, systems, and mathematics is essential, alongside excellent written and verbal communication abilities. The role demands the capacity to operate and multi-task effectively in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment, outstanding planning and organizational skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook. WHAT YOU'LL GET FROM THIS OPPORTUNITY: COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $61,000.00 - $94,000.00 annually. Placement within the pay range may differ based upon various factors, including but not limited to skills, experience and geographic location.
