Job Title: Staff IT Analyst II - Quality Assurance Specialist Digital Banking

What you'll do: As the Staff IT Analyst II Quality Assurance Specialist for Digital Banking, you will oversee testing for system builds and releases, collaborate with delivery teams and business partners, and ensure software quality through strategic analysis and effective communication. Responsibilities include reviewing and improving test processes, identifying operational constraints, developing solutions, and preparing documentation for testing requirements and practices. You'll lead activities to review current testing processes and metrics that support operational effectiveness, identify constraints or opportunities that inhibit or accelerate the business and/or technology strategy, while also developing potential options/approaches to improve business outcomes.
- Develop list of critical documentation and artifacts to meet project objectives and complete development of high-quality deliverables, while effectively communicating any relevant learnings, findings, or impacts, with the subject matter experts.
- Leverage Risk Management experience from a large financial institution subject to heightened standards, specifically in risk, compliance, or corporate governance.
- The capture and upkeep of KRIs, KPIs, & Operational Metrics, as necessary.
- Identifying software application weaknesses and target areas.
- Reviewing software bug reports and highlighting problem areas.
- Developing automation scripts, implementing software, and resolving automation issues.
- Implement QA best practices, fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
- Design, execute, and maintain comprehensive test plans, incorporating unit, integration, and performance testing through both manual and automated strategies.
- Identify, document, and track software defects to resolution, ensuring optimal system performance.
- Validate that software meets business and technical requirements through detailed testing processes.
- Collaborating with the design team to solve application faults.
- Work with business and development teams to understand business requirements.
- Lead test case design sessions and create detailed test scenarios.
- Use collaboration tools like Azure DevOps (ADO) and Confluence for documentation and test case management.
- Assist in User Acceptance Testing (UAT), ensure compliance with QA governance standards, and verify that the software adheres to all relevant industry standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices.
What you'll need:
- 5+ years of related experience.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field required.
- Detailed knowledge of application functions, bug fixing, and testing protocols.
- Intermediate to advanced working in Microsoft Office, Azure DevOps & relevant Diagramming Software (e.g. Lucid, Visio, etc.), as well as technical aptitude & experience within a Quality Assurance.
- Experienced in using automated testing tools and services, such as Playwright, Selenium.
- Entry-level to intermediate knowledge of general financial services or banking preferred.
- Entry level to intermediate knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong understanding of data integrity standards.
- Strong problem recognition, attention to detail and prioritization skills.
- Experience working with Agile methodologies.
- Knowledge of design and execution of test cases that support accessibility testing based on WCAG principles.
- Intermediate speaking and writing communication skills.
- Occasional travel required.
