We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Solution Adoption Lead Engineer to guide and inspire our team. In this role, you will drive and ensure the adoption of changes in technologies and processes across our engineering teams to support a constantly evolving business environment and strategic direction.

You will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive change management strategies that align with our Engineering Excellence goals and objectives.

As a Lead Solution Adoption Engineer, you will conduct thorough impact analyses to understand the effects of proposed technology and process changes on various departments and stakeholders. You will assess the readiness of the engineering teams for change and identify key stakeholders who will be instrumental in the change process. Your ability to collaborate with project teams will be crucial in integrating change management activities into overall project plans, ensuring seamless execution.

You will design and deliver engaging training programs and workshops to equip employees with the necessary skills and knowledge to embrace change. Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of these initiatives will be a key part of your role, allowing you to make data-driven adjustments to improve outcomes. In addition, you will provide hands-on coaching and support to managers and employees, helping them navigate the complexities of change. Effective communication will be essential as you articulate change initiatives and progress to all levels of the organization, fostering a culture of transparency and trust.

Your role will also involve identifying and managing potential risks and resistance to change, ensuring that any obstacles are addressed proactively.

Overall, as a Lead Solution Adoption Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that Pacific Life engineering community can adopt changes efficiently and effectively, driving continuous improvement and long-term success

How you'll help move us forward:

  • Assess potential effects and impact of proposed changes on engineering teams and stakeholders. Identify and document areas of impact and ensure that all aspects are considered
  • Create comprehensive change management plans that align with project and engineering goals and impact analysis
  • Perform change readiness assessments on team(s), identify gaps and incorporate plans to address them.
  • Proactively identify potential risks and resistance to change. Collaborate with the appropriate stakeholders to develop mitigation strategies to address and manage these risks
  • Map out key stakeholders and understand their influence and impact on the change process. Collaborate with project/product owner(s) to develop stakeholder engagement strategies to ensure their support and involvement.
  • Ensure alignment between project/product goals and change management objectives.
  • Partner with Product/Project managers to ensure that change management activities are aligned with overall project/product governance. Stay informed about timelines, milestones and deliverables and provide regular updates on the status of change management initiatives.
  • Collaborate or drive the development of training materials and conduct technical workshops to prepare engineers for changes
  • Define success metrics to track the progress of change adoption. Measure and report on performance against these metrics. Collect feedback and make data driven adjustments to improve outcomes. Address concerns and collaboration with other internal partners engineering group to improve the processes or products to be adopted

The experience you bring:

  • 12+ years of experience in managing and implementing changes for software engineering products and projects.
  • Hands-on experience with a range of delivery services technology such as Git, Artifactory, Azure DevOps, or similar tooling.
  • Development experience in at least 1 modern language including but not limited to Python, JavaScript/React framework, Golang
  • Understand secure software development lifecycle and able to integrate change management activities within the SDLC framework to ensure smooth transition in software development projects
  • Experience in managing IT change processes for platform or infrastructure including system upgrade, software implementation and/or infrastructure migration
  • Strong experience in assessing and mitigates risk associated with IT major system changes to minimize disruption to business operations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and build consensus across different teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to write clear, concise, and comprehensive documentation.
  • Proven leadership capabilities with experience in coaching and mentoring others through change. Ability to drive for continuous improvement.
  • A systematic problem-solving approach, coupled with strong communications skills and a sense of ownership and drive
  • Ability to communicate effectively vertically and horizontally within the organization about technical strategy in clear, concise, understandable terms appropriate to the audience technical understanding and expertise.
  • Ability to adapt to and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail to ensure all aspects of change are managed effectively

What makes you stand out:

  • Strong understanding of change management principles, methodologies and best practices (e.g Kotter's 8-step process, or Prosci ADKAR etc.)
  • Well versed in Agile principle for managing software engineering project and Scrum framework in delivering services and products
  • Ability to influence and engage stakeholders to gain their support for change initiatives

Base Pay Range:

The base pay range noted represents the company's good faith minimum and maximum range for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications and geographic location. Also, most employees are eligible for additional incentive pay.

$163,620.00 - $199,980.00
