Position Overview

QinetiQ US seeks a highly skilled Data Analytics Subject Matter Expert (SME) responsible for leading advanced data analysis and business intelligence initiatives with a federal law enforcement agency client. You will drive data-driven decision making to ensure I.T. systems meet the operational and reporting needs of each field office and agency HQ leadership, and all stakeholders. You will leverage your expertise in advanced analytics, data modeling, and business intelligence to support the prioritization of I.T. solutions and optimize the development and modernization of technologies in support of agency objectives. You will work with enterprise tools including Databricks, Qlik, Tableau, Oracle, ServiceNow, Microsoft Power Suite, Python programming, and advanced SQL to extract insights from complex datasets and provide strategic recommendations to leadership.



Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will have ten or more years with the following experience in a position(s) of progressively increasing maturity and responsibility:

    Lead and facilitate data-driven meetings, working sessions, and executive briefings
  • Design and conduct advanced data analysis to support IT investment decisions and operational requirements
  • Perform complex data modeling and statistical analysis using all forms of structured and unstructured data, providing strategic recommendations based on findings
  • Lead training and mentoring of team members in advanced analytics processes, tools, and methodologies
  • Oversee data governance, quality assurance, and integration across agency systems
  • Coordinate and lead data calls for IT performance metrics and operational reporting
  • Develop and maintain executive dashboards and reporting using Power BI, Tableau, advanced Excel, and PowerPoint presentations
  • Review and develop data governance frameworks and analytical standards to ensure alignment with agency and federal requirements
  • Design, recommend, and implement data-driven process improvements and analytical solutions
  • Serve as the primary data analytics consultant for IT modernization initiatives
  • Maintain the highest standards of analytical rigor and attention to detail


Required Qualifications

  • Experience in Data Analysis, Statistics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related quantitative field with specialized experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or advanced statistical analysis within federal agencies, preferably in law enforcement or homeland security environments
  • Expert-level experience in advanced analytics and business intelligence - including predictive modeling, statistical analysis, data mining, machine learning applications, and translating complex analytical findings into actionable business recommendations for IT strategy and operations
  • Advanced proficiency in enterprise analytics platforms and programming - including mastery of Databricks, Tableau, Qlik, Python/R programming, advanced SQL, Oracle databases, and experience with cloud analytics platforms (AWS, Azure) and big data technologies
  • Deep understanding of federal IT performance measurement and data governance - including experience with IT portfolio analytics, cybersecurity metrics, operational performance indicators, and compliance reporting requirements specific to law enforcement and immigration enforcement operations
  • Exceptional analytical leadership and communication skills - with proven ability to present complex analytical findings to C-level executives, lead cross-functional analytics initiatives, mentor junior analysts, and drive data-driven decision making across diverse stakeholder groups including AOR and ERO leadership
  • Degree and 10+ years of relevant Data experience
  • Security Requirements
    • Ability to obtain and maintain appropriate federal security clearance.
    • Background investigation required.
    • Must be U.S. citizen.
