Job Summary
This position will provide support to the Hospital Operations Division business units Leadership and Executive team. This position will float to all Hospital Operations business units to perform a variety of administrative support, schedule meetings, appointments, telephone and conference calls, evaluate meeting requirements and research and prepare background materials; provide daily executive briefings to the Director(s) in preparation for commitments. Provide leadership and direction for ensuring comprehensive coordination of Director(s) travel. Work closely with key executives and staff in coordinating inter-related requirements of meetings, events and travel. Perform a variety of analytical and public relations tasks in support of day-to-day operations and special projects. Represent Hospital Operations and/or Leadership to internal and external constituencies to manage and accomplish the work of the Division of Leadership and/or Executive Director(s) and Director(s), Assistant Director(s), and Manager(s).Incumbent must possess strong word-processing, grammar, editing, and proofreading skills. Must be able to maintain composure under stress and have strong interpersonal skills to professionally interact with all levels of employees, including C-Suite executives, within the UC Davis Health, and external constituents. - Experience providing analytical, administrative, and project management support to a high-level administrator, such as an Executive of a large, complex organization.
- Experience managing the calendar and commitments of a high level executive and directors with multiple and varied local, regional, and national commitments, including all aspects of regional, national travel (lodging, transportation, policy application, and reconciliation).
- Experience providing analytical, administrative, and project management support to a high level administrator, such as an Executive of a large, complex organization.
- Experience using a range of organizational and time management skills to coordinate and prioritize a diverse, complex workload and to meet competing deadlines in a fast paced environment with high attention to detail.

- Skills to extract and synthesize information from a variety of sources; ability to determine the level of impact on the Leadership Team's commitments and responsibility and to translate, define and present that information to the Executive and Directors using sound judgment to make recommendations.
- Writing, editing and proofreading skills to produce clear, well-organized information with strict attention to correct grammar, spelling and punctuation.
- Computer skills to apply various software programs (Microsoft Outlook, MS Exchange, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and the Internet) to accomplish assignments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training.
- Knowledge and understanding of campus-wide offices, administrative contacts, departments and resources.
- Knowledge and understanding of UCDH/University policies and procedures and Staff Personnel policies and procedures.
