Senior Agile Project Manager

As a Senior Agile Project Manager, you will manage technology projects and initiatives using industry standards and best practices.

In this role, you will proactively identify and manage risks and issues, escalating them as necessary. You will develop expertise on industry trends and the IT ecosystem. As an integral member of the team, you will contribute to the improvement of project management policies and procedures.
Initially, the role will be part of a Manufacturing & Procurement transformation initiative.

Major Accountabilities

  • Perform as a PMO agilist to usher the manufacturing & procurement teams into Agile

  • Proactively identify and manage project risks, dependencies, and issues (and related mitigation plans); escalate in a clear and timely manner as appropriate

  • Provide RAG state and status updates / slide decks for reviews and updates to the business / IT stakeholders

  • Manage projects at varying levels of complexity using company standards and best practices.

  • Communicate / collaborate well and manage project expectations to project managers, owners, SME's, team members, and other stakeholders

  • Proactively identify and manage project risks and issues, Track project budget and Invoice spending, as needed

  • Collaborate, participate, and contribute to collaborative PM/Agile center of excellence

  • Manage and track implementation issues and risks to achieve a successful go live.

  • Provide overall oversight and governance using designated tooling, and to do so with infusing agile mindset/culture.

  • As needed within an agile methodology, provide full Scrum Master duties for facilitating our NB IT best in class agile practices / agile ways of working.

  • Foster iterative process improvements and collaborative conversations.

  • Promoting consistent estimating practices for predictability/planning and resulting agile performance metrics.

  • Working with outside vendors (if applicable) and internal New Balance teams to plan and manage the project activities, provide governance and oversight, provide status and other inputs to Business and IT stakeholders / Leadership

  • Proactively identify and manage project RAID: risks, dependencies, and issues (and related mitigation plans); escalate in a clear and timely manner as appropriate

  • Where needed, provide RAG state and status updates / slide decks for reviews and updates to the business and stakeholders

  • Where needed, manage and track post production/ implementation issues/risks to achieve a successful delivery to goals. Prepare and track post go live issues to ensure a successful stabilization phase.

  • Participate and contribute to collaborative Agile Sync

  • Ability to assess process maturity of PMO teams, propose and coach improvements

Requirements for Success

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with minimum 1-2 years of experience in IT project management or similar type of experience. Technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in software development or IT a plus.

  • Experience and/or exposure to working as part of a large program, with ERP experience preferred.

  • Experience in one or more relevant domain areas such as finance or supply chain preferred.

  • A BS degree in a technical field or equivalent experience is preferred.

  • Time management and organizational skills essential.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.

Flexible Work Schedule
