Paint Technician

The Electrical Products Group was recently purchased from Avail Infrastructure Solutions by nVent Electric plc ("nVent") and consists of three business units, Enclosure Systems, Switchgear Systems and Bus Systems. As a part of nVent, theElectrical Products Group is a leading provider of infrastructure solutions, designed to help ensure safe and reliable electrical operations primarily in the infrastructure vertical, including power utilities and data centers.

WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:

• Examines and prepares surfaces to be treated and painted.
• Masks portions of components that do not require paint such as bearings, bushings, rub strips, etc.
• Performs daily cleaning and maintenance activities on painting equipment.
• A strong attention to detail and ability to solve problems
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition
• Follow safety protocols, including attending safety meetings, using protective equipment and adhering to quality standards.

YOU HAVE:

• High School Diploma/GED Equivalent Desired
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; stand; walk; use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb ladders or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, and or crawl.
• The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus
• Knowledge of using different types of paint application equipment to include: gravity feed, premix, 2KS, Pressure Pot HVLP.
• Ability to work in a warm/humid environment
• Abilities to meet the physical and environmental demands.
