Job Description

YOUR OPPORTUNITY



We have an exciting Feed Mill Manager opportunity in our Guymon. The Feed Mill Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of a high-volume feed manufacturing facility, including production, safety, quality, and delivery operations. This role manages 9 hourly employees and 3 salaried/clerical staff while ensuring the efficient use of assets and resources to achieve an average weekly output of 3,250 tons. The Feed Mill Manager provides leadership, fosters team development, and ensures compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements to support operational excellence.

RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Schedule the production and delivery of feed, including ingredients needed for production.
  • Maintain inventory of parts, products, and purchasing of supplies.
  • Meet production targets while maintaining the highest quality product.
  • Adhere to all EPA, FDA, OSHA, DOT requirements, and company biosecurity policies and procedures.
  • Interview, select, train, evaluate, and promote staff as needed.
  • Monitor the upkeep and sanitation of property, equipment and vehicles, and repair or replace items as needed.
  • Record keeping such as data collection and distribution of information.
  • Forecast capital purchase cost in advance, budgeting for delivery and mill.

QUALIFICATIONS



Required:



  • High School or GED.
  • 3+ year of relevant experience.
  • Analytically minded and willing to learn new computer systems.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and clean motor vehicle record


.Preferred:



  • Bachelor's degree in Feed Science or related from a four-year university or four of more years of experience in feed mill construction, maintenance and/or feed production; and five or more years of supervisory


SCHEDULE The hours and days of work are established by departmental needs and at the discretion of management. After-hours, weekends and overnight travel as requested.

  • The noise level in the work environment is typically moderate but can be loud.
  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, occasionally lift up to 100 pounds.
  • The employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch or crawl.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
