We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled Site Engineering Manager to join Moog's Space and Defense Group in our high-production facility in Salt Lake City, UT. The Site Engineering Manager will lead a team of supervisors, engineers, and technicians supporting production and the transition of selected development programs at Moog's Space and Defense Group in Salt Lake City. As a key member of the site leadership team, this role contributes directly to the growth of generational Missile Control Actuation programs. The Site Engineering Manager will operate within a lean, continuous improvement environment, consistently driving toward 100% Quality and 100% Delivery.

As our Site Engineering Manager - Missile Systems, you will make a critical impact in this role by holding responsibility for:

  • Serve as an integral member of the Site Leadership Team, actively shaping and executing site strategy through X-Matrix policy deployment.

  • Provide facilitative leadership to foster collaboration and accountability.

  • Mentor and support career development of engineering staff.

  • Lead structured problem-solving initiatives within a lean, continuous improvement framework.

  • Resolve production and field issues, ensuring timely communication of impacts.

  • Deliver technical support to customers, including failure analysis and design proposals.

  • Execute engineering tasks for major programs, ensuring technical excellence.

  • Lead engineering support for proposal development and customer engagements.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Value Stream Management, Program Management, Purchasing, and other key stakeholders.

  • Participate in technical committees to drive innovation and productivity.

  • Define and manage capital and personnel budgets to support strategic goals.

  • Champion and uphold safety practices across all engineering activities.

Here's what you will need to bring with you:

  • BS in Electrical/Mechanical/Industrial Engineering + 7 years of relevant experience, OR

  • MS in Electrical/Mechanical/Industrial Engineering + 5 years' experience

  • Due to federal contract obligations, must be a US Citizen or US Permanent Resident (Green Card Holder)

Salary Range Transparency:

Salt Lake City, UT $140,000.00-$190,000.00 Annually

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees.
