Responsibilities
Arcfield is seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Capture Senior Manager with extensive experience in the U.S. Space Force (USSF) domain to lead the pursuit of strategic business opportunities and drive growth initiatives within the defense and intelligence sectors. This position is focused on winning high-value contracts that align with Arcfield's mission of delivering advanced solutions to support U.S. national security and space operations. The Capture Senior Manager will be responsible for shaping, strategizing, and overseeing the full lifecycle of capture efforts, leading cross-functional teams, and ensuring the development of winning proposals. The successful candidate is expected to possess a comprehensive understanding of U.S. Space Force priorities, acquisition processes, and contracting environments, coupled with a proven track record of delivering results on large-scale federal opportunities. Key Responsibilities:
- Capture Leadership: Drive capture efforts on high-value opportunities within the U.S. Space Force (USSF) and related space and intelligence domains, with a particular emphasis on bids exceeding $100M.
- Strategic Planning: Develop and execute the capture strategy, win themes, and competitive positioning while taking ownership of opportunity qualification and bid/no-bid decisions.
- Mission Expertise: Leverage deep knowledge of USSF's mission areas, acquisition strategies, and program priorities to position Arcfield as the preferred partner for space and mission engineering solutions.
- Customer Engagement: Build strong relationships with USSF decision-makers, mission stakeholders, acquisition officials, and industry partners to shape and influence upcoming requirements and opportunities.
- Teaming and Partnerships: Identify, negotiate, and cultivate relationships with key teaming partners and subcontractors that align with the opportunity strategy, maximizing competitive advantage.
- Cross-Functional Team Collaboration: Partner with internal business development, technical experts, pricing, and proposal teams to deliver innovative, compliant, and compelling solutions that address customer needs.
- Proposal Leadership: Oversee proposal development, ensuring that solutions align with win strategies, pricing goals, and compliance guidelines while successfully articulating Arcfield's value proposition.
- Competitive Analysis: Conduct detailed competitor assessments and create effective strategies to position Arcfield favorably within the competitive landscape of the space and intelligence sectors.
- Risk Management: Anticipate potential capture risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful execution.
- Growth Initiatives: Actively contribute to corporate growth and strategic planning goals by identifying emerging opportunities, new markets, and potential business ventures within the USSF mission area.
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Must possess and be able to maintain a TS/SCI security clearance.
- Bachelor's Degree with 12-15 years of experience, MS with 10-13 years of experience, or PhD with 10+ years of experience.
- Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in leading and winning large-scale government capture efforts, including opportunities of $100M+ within the defense and intelligence community. Prior experience with USSF pursuits is strongly preferred.
- U.S. Space Force Expertise: Comprehensive knowledge of USSF missions, acquisition strategies, organizations, and key personnel.
- Experience with Capture Methodologies: Proficiency in Shipley or comparable capture and proposal management methodologies, covering opportunity identification, qualification, and proposal execution.
- 12+ years of experience in capture management, proposal leadership, or business development roles in the federal contracting space.
- At least 5 years of direct experience pursuing and winning opportunities supporting space operations or U.S. Space Force priorities.
- Customer-Focused Communication: Exceptional skills in engaging with high-level government stakeholders, clearly articulating technical solutions, and persuasively conveying win strategies.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Proven ability to manage and lead cross-functional teams, coordinate with executives and technical teams, and drive results under competing deadlines.
- Industry Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of the federal government contracting lifecycle, including FAR and DFAR regulations, as well as market trends shaping the U.S. Space and Intelligence Community.
Desired Qualifications:
- Established relationships with key USSF stakeholders, including Space Operations Command (SpOC), Space Systems Command (SSC), Space Development Agency (SDA), and other relevant organizations.
- Expertise in digital engineering, resilient space architectures, and mission engineering solutions for space and satellite systems.
- Experience supporting other space-focused agencies within the Intelligence Community or NASA.
- Advanced degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
