Reporting to the Director of Communications, the Communications Specialist role plays a key part in executing communications initiatives, supporting brand consistency, leading content development, and ensuring effective collaboration across departments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead, draft, and edit communication campaigns for multiple channels (email, social media, website, intranet, newsletters, presentations, conferences, ads, and press releases).
  • Coordinate with team members across various departments to gather information, build relationships, and facilitate communication for campaigns.
  • Develop assets to improve knowledge-sharing, onboarding, and a better understanding of our vision and capabilities.
  • Run practice sessions for companywide presentations, providing guidance on messaging, slides, and delivery.
  • Help develop and maintain best practices and supporting documentation.
  • Conduct research on industry trends, competitor activities, and media opportunities to support strategic communications planning.

Job Requirements / Qualifications

  • 2-5 years of experience in a communications role.
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with attention to tone, clarity, and accuracy.
  • Fast learner who can quickly grasp new tools, topics, and workflows.
  • Willingness to dive into new projects and operate both independently or collaboratively.
  • Ability to confidently reach out to colleagues or media contacts, often without prior introduction.
  • Demonstrated success in conceptualizing, writing content for, and measuring the effectiveness of professional communication.
  • Prefer experience collaborating as part of a corporate communications, marketing, or public relations department.
  • Ability to travel up to 5% of the time.
