About the Role:
We have an exciting opportunity to support our Technology team as a Senior Product Manager, Global POS based in Miami, FL. The Senior Product Manager, Global POS will lead, plan and organize product development to ensure a high return on investment (ROI) for Subway's global Point of Sale platform used across 30+ countries and over 30,000 restaurants. This includes partnering with business stakeholders, analysts, operators and end users to elicit and document feedback, then managing product and technical leads, translating ideas and vision into strategy, roadmaps, project plans, feature sets and ultimately release plans. This position should regularly communicate with the product owner(s), scrum master(s) and product developers throughout the software development lifecycle. They should be a perceptive manager, creative leader, great communicator, and reliable problem-solver, able to understand which ideas will and which won't work, then driving projects to completion.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Partner with the Sr. Director, Menu & POS Platform, and Subway business and technology stakeholders to lead the development of the product strategy and vision supported by internal and external research and analysis. Collaborate with senior leadership and product teams to define and create detailed product roadmaps, project charters, project plans as well as prioritizing product features and capabilities.
- Support and guide Portfolio/Project Managers through intake and project approval process including scoping (level of effort), developing budgets, business case development, and all preliminary discovery. Work with global business and technology leads to communicate updates to roadmaps, globally across each region, across multiple platforms including Menu and Point of Sale.
- Elicit, analyze, and present feedback from operators, end users stakeholders and other teams to gather and shape business and functional requirements define product features and generate high-level technical scope. Partner with product owner(s) to oversee and develop user stories, product backlog items and tasks to drive projects to completion.
- Responsible for project governance, planning and status reporting including project financials, risks/issue management as well as demand/capacity planning from product inception (annual planning) throughout the release lifecycle to ongoing product support. Establish baseline budget, manage forecasts, and take full accountability for submitting change requests, ensuring stakeholders are aware of any potential cost overruns
- Proactively identify and resolve issues that may affect the team's ability to meet strategic, financial, and technical goals. Ensure all initiatives adhere to project/product methodology compliance standards set by the company. Oversee end user support issues and manage escalations through triage and resolution.
- Drive product launches and demo's, including working with leadership, communications, other product management team members and end user support. Work closely with engineering teams and program management to deliver products to market, globally.
- Serve as the Point of Sale subject matter expert from both a business and technical perspective. Supervise, manage, and support other product managers, product owners, business analysts, UI/UX developers, as well as coordinating with cross-functional development and business teams. Coach and mentor other Product Managers, Product Owners, Scrum Masters and Business Analysts
- Work with Director, POS Product Development and Product Team, to ensure product lifecycle deadlines are met, software development stages are completed on time, development resources are allocated properly, product releases are in compliance with schedules, and communicate updates across all channels.
- Lead the development of the product strategy and vision supported by internal and external research and analysis. Comfortable working in a fast paced, highly collaborative, dynamic and exciting work environment.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree is required - Business, Computer Science, Engineering or other technical discipline or equivalent experience. Masters Degree in Business desirable
SCRUM, Product Manager/Owner, SAFe, CSPO, CSM, PMI. - Minimum of 7-10+ years' experience in business strategy/development, product management/ownership, or a senior business analyst role.
- 5+ years of QSR and Point of Sale (POS) or Food Service or Hospitality experience preferred.
- 5+ years of management experience required.
- Strong technical background with an ability to cultivate and build collaborative working relationships with a broad range of cross-functional stakeholders and development teams.
- Excellent communication, organizational and research skills, as well as the ability to multitask and present complex and technical issues to diverse audiences, orally and in writing.
- Experience with Agile development and a strong sense of Agile Methodologies (Agile Scrum Certification required) with experience in industry-standard application lifecycle management tools such as Azure DevOps (TFS), Jira and Confluence.
- Skilled in MS Office products such as Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, as well as prototyping tools such as Figma.
- Ability to balance internal teams and external partners/vendors to drive and deliver projects on time.
- In depth understanding of project management concepts; budget management in particular.
