Hourly Pay Range:

$61.22 - $85.71 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

  • Position: Advanced Practice Provider (PA/APRN w/RNFA) - Surgical Specialty (Gynecology) - Hospital Based
  • Location: Evanston Hospital, Evanston, IL
  • Full Time/Part Time: Full-Time, 40 hours per week
  • Hours: Monday through Friday, 8hr shifts on days
  • Required Travel: Occasional travel to NS Legacy sites

What you will need:

  • License: Current Advanced Practice Provider (PA/APRN) License in the State of Illinois required. DEA & Illinois Controlled Substance License required.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Certification: CPR certification required.
  • Experience: One year of APP experience preferred
  • Skills: Surgical experience preferred
  • Other: RNFA certification required for APRN candidates

Position Summary:

The APP will work collaboratively within a dynamic multidisciplinary team to provide safe, seamless and personal care in the inpatient setting. The APP will manage the care of gynecology patients admitted to the hospital, including those undergoing gynecological surgeries, consultations, and medical management. This role will focus on the clinical management of patients on the hospital floor as well as time assisting in the operating room.

What you will do:

Patient Care and Management

  • Provide comprehensive assessments, diagnosis, and management of gynecological conditions for hospitalized patients
  • Perform daily rounds on assigned gynecology patients, assessing clinical status, reviewing lab results and coordinating patient care plans
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with attendings and residents
  • Manage pre-operative and post-operative care for patients undergoing gynecological surgeries, including monitoring for complications
  • Provide education to patients and families about their diagnosis, treatment options, and recovery process
  • Perform bedside procedures as instructed by the attending

Collaboration and Teamwork

  • Work closely with attending physicians, residents, nurses, and other healthcare providers to ensure safe, seamless and personal care
  • Serve as a liaison between patients, families and other healthcare team members, facilitating communication and concerns

Consultations

  • Provide gynecology consultations to other departments as needed, offering expertise in the management of gynecological conditions in hospitalized patients

Operative assist

  • First assist in elective and emergent gynecologic operations
