Job Title: Assembly and Test Technician

Location: Elma, NY 14059

Duration: 6 Months (Temp - Hire)

Shift: 2nd Shift, (2:30 pm - 11 pm)


Note:

  • Will receive shift differential beginning with their first day (10% shift differential)
  • May need to train on a different shift (1st or 3rd) - Based on the need
  • 1st shift hours are from 6 am - 2:30pm.
  • 3rd shift hours are from 10:30 pm - 6:00 am



Pre-Screen Questions:

  • What experience do you have with troubleshooting/diagnosing equipment and/or machinery?
  • Do you have experience with testing? If so, what kind of testing? (Temp, vibration, altitude, etc.)
  • What kind of hand tools do you typically use? Please explain your experience in detail as to how you have used these tools previously.
  • This role requires enrollment & participation in the company's FAA drug & alcohol program, with requires an additional full panel drug screen upon hire, as well as subject to random drug testing throughout employment. Additionally, this job requires access to US export-controlled information. Do you still wish to be considered?



Required:

  • High School diploma or GED preferred. Otherwise, demonstrated ability to understand and apply all verbal, written and computer work instructions or training in English, and demonstrated ability to perform simple addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
  • At least 3 years of related experience in a related technical field.
  • In accordance with strict Federal Aviation Agency (F.A.A.) regulations regarding Safety Sensitive Work (S.S.W.), employee enrollment & participation in the company's "F.A.A. Drug & Alcohol Program" is a requirement for this position.



Responsibilities:

  • Perform assembly activities using a variety of mechanical and electronic measurement equipment and specialized fixtures, tooling, gauging and torque mechanisms to obtain desired build requirements.
  • Work from drawings, work instructions, parts lists or other instruction and provide written communication defining performance results and situational circumstances.
  • Test operations include setting up and performing operational tests of finished products on high precision test stands. This activity uses hydraulic, pneumatic and electronic test equipment, fixtures and tools to obtain desired performance results.
  • Diagnose test failures and assess hardware condition to provide recommended rework instruction and configuration changes.
  • Perform daily administrative responsibilities to support overall operations.
