TITLE: Vice President of Business Development
POSITION OBJECTIVE: The Vice President (VP), of Business Development is a senior leadership role responsible for creating, expanding, and managing strategic business relationships with key customers, partners, and vendors. The successful candidate leads and oversees the development of new business opportunities and growth initiatives, as well as identifies and capitalizes on potential new markets and products. The VP also provides strategic guidance and direction to the executive team and other departments.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- College degree in business, marketing, or related field
- 12+ years of experience within the polymer industry.
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful business strategies
- Progressive leadership experience overseeing teams or departments
- Experience overseeing a team of Managers
- Can effectively manage a budget
- Excellent analytical, strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
- Able to analyze and assess market data, competitor analysis, and product development methodologies
- Proficient in relevant software tools for customer relationship management, project management, and product lifecycle methodologies
- Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary.
- Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and execute strategies to expand the business, increase revenue, and achieve strategic objectives in polymer products' Marketing.
- Evaluates market research and competitive analyses to identify new business opportunities and assess market trends
- Oversees product lifecycle from ideation to launch
- Assesses potential new markets and products, evaluates business opportunities, and develops strategies for targeting potential customers.
- Establishes standards governing lead generation, prospect contract and follow-up, and opportunity qualification. Develops strategies for assessing customer needs and positioning Inteplast's products as potential solutions.
- Tracks business development activities and reports on results
- Builds and maintains relationships with key stakeholders
- Responsible for compelling proposals and presentations to secure new business
- Engages in cross-functional leadership that includes multiple disciplines like engineering, design, marketing, and sales.
- Manages department budget
