Job Summary

The Asset Inventory Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing physical assets - including tools and equipment - owned and used by all Matrix Service Company entities. The role is responsible for inventory auditing, control of assets, enhanced utilization, preventative maintenance scheduling, and assistance with management of construction tools and equipment across the organization. This role will also assist with some Matrix NAC warehouse management functions and duties. The ideal candidate has strong organizational skills, a background in asset or inventory control and experience working in the construction industry.


Essential Functions

  • Represent the Company at all times with high moral standards while adhering to the Company's "Code of Business Conduct and Ethics."

  • Maintain accurate records of all construction assets, including tools and equipment.
  • Audit of company equipment, records, and maintenance history.
  • Ensure accuracy between ERP (Penta) asset list and inventory management software.
  • Track assets movement between job sites, warehouses, and storage facilities.
  • Implement and manage inventory management systems and processes.
  • Develop and enforce check-in/check-out procedures for tools and equipment.
  • Schedule and track routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs.
  • Monitor equipment usage to identify underutilized assets.
  • Recommend asset purchases, replacements, or disposals based on usage and condition.
  • Prepare and present regular inventory and assets status reports for management.
  • Maintain asset records including serial numbers, condition, warranties, and maintenance history.
  • Utilize and manage digital asset tracking systems or software, and train staff to ensure proper usage.
  • Support Operations with sourcing of warehouse locations or storage space for assets as required.
  • Interface with Corporate Accounting, Project Management and Project Controls for reporting tool loss.
  • Support Operations with the dispatch of company-owned equipment to jobsites, which includes maintaining the maintenance records and inspection records of all owned or rented equipment.
  • Perform other duties as required or assigned.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field, preferred.
  • 10+ years' experience in warehousing, equipment maintenance, supply chain management, and fleet operations in the construction industry.
  • Previous related supervisory experience.
  • Strong time management skills; ability to prioritize multiple time-sensitive requests.
  • Proficiency in PC applications, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Strong communication skills, time management and organization skills, and interpersonal skills.
