Kearney & Company is currently seeking a Senior Consultant to join our remote team! Kearney's Federal government client is responsible for executing multiple time-sensitive financial management initiatives across a large and decentralized organization. The Senior Consultant will be responsible for integrating with the Federal government client, Executive leadership, and other Kearney team members to provide business process improvement, technical writing, strategic consulting and communications and project management support related to large scale organizational transformation. Representative job tasks may include but are not limited to: * Remotely interface with clients on a day-to-day basis via MS Teams and lead discussions/briefings with client representatives, demonstrating excellent listening and presentation skills. * Bring a strong executive presence to effectively consult with and support senior leaders who are making time-sensitive, high-impact decisions, ensuring clarity, confidence, and alignment in support of an organizational restructuring. * Serve as a trusted advisor, using influence and relationship-building to drive progress without direct authority. * Navigate politically sensitive environments with professionalism and discretion, particularly within a newly appointed senior leadership structure. * Engage in frank, constructive conversations with senior executives to advocate for project needs and ensure alignment on priorities. * Provide strategic coaching to client stakeholders, helping them work through environmental stressors and make informed decisions in support of the Agency's goals. * Lead and support change management initiatives, introducing tailored strategies and communication approaches appropriate to each phase of the project. * Translate change impacts into accounting, budgetary, and audit-related implications, articulating alignment with compliance and audit standards * Introduce new strategies and approaches to help move the project forward and maintain momentum. * Initiate communications, requests, and follow-ups with various stakeholders and the client on the status of tasks, information, and artifacts using the appropriate professional tone and communication medium. * Collaborate across multiple divisions and offices in the development of solutions, recommendations and supporting documentation. * Stay current on industry trends, federal policy updates, and best practices in project management, change management, and financial management-and apply relevant insights to strengthen project outcomes. * Develop and manage project management artifacts including roadmaps, project plans, and working group coordination materials. * Develop high quality, visually impressive work products using the Microsoft Office suite of applications and Visio, demonstrating excellent design and writing skills, as well as attention to details. Examples of work products include but are not limited to policies, SOPs, process flows, guidance, whitepapers, e-mails, briefing decks, speaking points, and written updates for senior leadership. * Support rapid-requests from senior leadership, including the Deputy CFO, CFO, Deputy Secretary, and Office of the Secretary-this may include conducting research, drafting executive communications, and preparing briefing materials under tight deadlines. * Promote and maintain a flexible project structure that can adapt to evolving priorities, stakeholder needs, and organizational dynamics without losing momentum or focus.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Business, Accounting, or related discipline from an accredited college or university required
- 6+ years of relevant Federal financial management experience and knowledge
- Ability to obtain and maintain an U.S. Secret (or higher, such as Top Secret or TS/SCI) security clearance (requires U.S. citizenship)
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in writing and verbally. Excellent skills/training with Microsoft Office products, including Word, PowerPoint, Project, and Excel
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified Government Financial Manager certification
- Project Management Professional certification Experience as a Federal employee

' The expected salary range for this position is between $103,000 and $180,000. This range is representative of base pay only and does not include straight time pay for hours worked over 40 per week, company contributions towards paid benefits, and/or bonuses. Actual compensation (meeting or exceeding the range) will be determined based on specific experience, education, work location, clearance level, and other factors permitted by law. This position is eligible for bonuses (when applicable).
