The Classroom Technology Solutions Consultant will lead multi-campus AV projects, consult with internal stakeholders, and coordinate with vendors and facilities teams to ensure AV systems are consistent, scalable, and supportable. This position serves as a key liaison between Penn State IT, the Office of Physical Plant, campus leadership, and external service providers.

  • Strong knowledge of AV control system configuration (e.g., Extron) for design review, vendor coordination, and troubleshooting.

  • Proven ability to design and implement AV solutions using standardized room models and documented bill-of-materials.

  • Background in training IT staff or end-users on AV system operation and support.

  • Experience with networked classroom technologies, remote monitoring tools (e.g., Extron GlobalViewer), or AV-over-IP deployments.
