Job Title:VP - Business Development and Client Experience Job Description:

Summary

The Business Development Officer (BDO) is responsible for driving new client growth, expanding business within existing relationships, and ensuring an exceptional client experience. This role is weighted with approximately 75% business development responsibilities, 20% client experience management, and 5% office management. The BDO will focus on generating revenue and building lasting client relationships while also supporting client onboarding, retention, and ensuring efficient office operations.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Business Development (75%)

* Create and execute marketing and business development strategies to drive new revenue growth.
* Prospect, cultivate, and close new client relationships while growing existing accounts.
* Cross-sell treasury management, lending, deposits, and other bank services.
* Build trusted partnerships by understanding client needs and delivering tailored solutions.
* Leverage market intelligence and networking to maintain a competitive position.
* Develop and deliver proposals, presentations, and outreach strategies.
* Maintain frequent client contact to assess satisfaction and mitigate risks.

Client Experience (20%)

* Act as a trusted advisor and key point of contact for assigned clients.
* Manage client onboarding, training, and ongoing support.
* Ensure proactive communication, satisfaction, and adoption of bank products.
* Serve as the voice of the client by advocating for their needs internally.
* Collaborate across departments to resolve client issues and deliver exceptional service.

Office Management (5%)

* Oversee basic office operations to ensure efficiency.
* Manage office supplies, scheduling, and vendor coordination.
* Support administrative needs of the team and office.

Qualifications

* Proven sales and negotiating experience in commercial banking.
* Strong commitment to customer service and client satisfaction.
* Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to cross-sell banking products and services.
* Effective time management, organizational, and multi-tasking skills.
* Self-motivated with ability to work independently and collaboratively.
* Strong knowledge of banking products, compliance, and market trends.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Salesforce, and banking systems.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • None

Education and/or Experience

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in commercial banking, business development, or client relationship management.

Computer and Software Skills

  • Microsoft office suite

  • Salesforce

  • Google Mail
