ASSISTANT MANAGER, VISUAL MERCHANDISING - GLOBAL

JOB DESCRIPTION:
This role focuses on creating visual direction with cross-functional partners to deliver an exceptional customer experience in our global businesses. The role supports the execution of visual strategies across the brand by creating visual tools and resources that allow home office + store associates to plan and execute flawlessly to drive sales. This role will work closely with the Manager, Visual Merchandising on calendars, logistics, process + communications to global and corporate partners.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE

  • Create seasonal visual direction for global retail locations:

  • Adapt brand execution strategies to reflect market relevancy by store.
  • Develop visual displays supporting market specific growth initiatives.
  • Create Global Visual Style Guide, indicating where items will be placed and identify substitutions where necessary.
    • Provide direction for pre-season, in-season + end-of-season merchandising updates.
    • Create field weekly visual updates as mark-downs, floorsets and signage changes take place.
    • Work closely with brand visual team to ensure localized direction for global store teams.
  • Implement visual merchandising standards and training tools for global partners to ensure brand integrity.
    • Partner with in-country VM leads to ensure use of the most current tools and provide updates where needed.
  • Partner with global merchandising team to create and manage visual communications for stores.
  • Manage end-to-end signage process for all global markets.
  • Partner with merchandising team on seasonal signage briefs
  • Manage production timelines with creative team, including collating print ready briefs + files.
  • Vendor management in all company owned markets, including invoice processing and budget tracking.
  • Create print-ready signage files using Photoshop and InDesign
  • Assist in managing floor set milestones and final execution guidelines with global partners.
  • Partner with retail performance teams to support new store openings, and supplies/ props needed for openings.
  • Understand product legislation in each country to ensure product displayed is compliant.
  • Assist in the mock store presentation for the Store, Catalog and Product Development set ups.

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/COMPETENCIES

  • Previous project management experience in a deadline driven environment.
  • 2 - 4 years' experience in visual merchandising with multi-store responsibility.
  • Ability to work with tools (drills, hammers, etc.)
  • Ability to move furniture for the set ups.
  • Excellent communication skills (written/verbal).
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Proficient on a Mac.
  • Proficient in Photoshop, Illustrator, In-design, Excel, Microsoft Suite
  • Stay current on professional practices and trends.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team.
  • Ability to set realistic short- and long-term goals.
  • Ability to write and speak effectively.
  • Prioritize effectively and organize work based on urgency and importance.
  • Correctly identifies problem and is resourceful and/or innovative in finding solutions.
  • Present skillfully to all audiences.

  • Provide timely and accurate information to store team.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to be mobile when setting up store floor set for extended periods of time. Ability to lift and mobilize medium to large items, up to 75 lbs., while utilizing appropriate equipment and safety techniques.

The expected starting pay range for this position is $70,000 - $75,000. Applicable pay ranges may differ across markets. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. In addition to competitive pay, compensation may include a variety of other components like benefits, paid time off, merit, and bonus opportunities.
