Your responsibilities
Job Summary The Sr. Director of Project/Program Management leads projects and oversees programs until they are sustainably integrated, while also supporting cross-functional projects to align stakeholders and achieve business goals. Job Description

* Project/ Program Leader: Responsible for leading projects/ programs providing best practices, change management, communications and implementing key performance indicators for sustainable results.

* Strategic Alignment: Ensures projects/ programs align with long-term strategic plans that support the business' vision and objectives.

* Cross-Functional Leadership: Lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement projects/ programs, ensuring alignment across all departments and stakeholders.

* Performance Measurement: Establish metrics to measure the effectiveness of projects/ programs, making necessary adjustments to ensure alignment with business objectives.

* Stakeholder Communication: Communicates project/ program progress to senior management, employees, and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

The Sr. Director Project/ Program Management is responsible for a diverse set of key responsibilities that are essential for the success of the organization:

* Held accountable for results of timely implementation, communication, and on-going support of assigned projects and programs

* Perform project planning functions and execute detailed project plans for on-schedule delivery of transformational technology and continuous improvement projects

* Manages daily checkpoints and weekly reporting needs including documenting and tracking changes, assumptions, issues, risks and dependencies related to the program/project and where applicable the overarching program

* Foster best practices for completing projects on time and budget, right-sizing the project management processes and tools applied to managing scope, schedules, costs, resources, quality and risk as necessary

* Secure project resource commitments and monitor resource use and ongoing availability

* Collaborate with IT and Operations on projects along with Quality delivery teams

* Perform risk management to minimize impacts to the project through proactive intervention of identifying and communicating project risks early, developing and employing effective risk mitigation strategies

* Monitor, control and measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques

* Create and maintain required project documentation

* Generate data and provide metrics analysis

* Work with internal partners on special project initiatives

Required Skills and Qualifications

The Sr. Director Project/ Program Management must possess a unique blend of skills, knowledge, and experience to excel in this strategic role:

* Familiarity in the application of project management principles

* Requires a BS/BA in a related field

* At least 10 years leading, managing and delivering projects and/or programs on time and within budget

* Proven project management skills in the manufacturing environment

* Ability to work with minimal direction to create concise, effective communication materials

* Ability to think creatively and strategically to present the business case and demonstrate the value of services

* Advanced skills in various Continuous Improvement tools, such as Value Stream Mapping, 6S, Lean Conversion, Standard Work, and Advanced Problem-Solving

* Advanced skills in Microsoft Project, Visio (or similar applications), Excel, and PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications

While not mandatory, the following qualifications and experiences would distinguish a candidate for the Sr. Director Project/ Program Management role:

* Excellent communication and facilitation skills, including working with and presenting to senior executives

* Ability to work and drive key messaging across all levels of the organization

* Ability to conduct process and value stream mapping, develop re-engineered processes aligned with technology solutions

* Ability to thrive in a high-pressure, fast-paced project environment

* Demonstrates an engaging and inclusive manner to promote the greatest contribution from all team members

* Asserts respectful, fact-based constructive challenges instead of avoiding difficult topics, project issues or potential risks
