Job Summary:

The Financial Planning and Analysis Senior Lead - Strategy serves as a strategic finance leader and trusted advisor to the Standard Lines leadership team. As both a hands-on financial expert and thought partner, this role leverages advanced analytical capabilities, business acumen, and strategic insight to deliver meaningful recommendations that enable informed decision-making and long-term business success. Through innovative financial modeling, scenario planning, and partnership with business leaders, they ensure Westfield derives maximum value from its investments while building the financial acumen and capabilities of teams across the enterprise.

Job Responsibilities:

As a strategic finance leader within the Standard Lines segment, this role drives enterprise value through advanced financial analysis, strategic insight, and cross-functional collaboration. Responsibilities include:

  • Strategic Financial Storytelling | Craft compelling narratives and executive-level communications that distill complex financial data into clear, actionable insights for internal and external stakeholders.

  • Business Strategy Enablement | Lead the development of financial models and KPI frameworks that support and measure the effectiveness of Competitive Business Strategies, enabling data-driven decision-making.

  • Advanced Financial Modeling & Scenario Planning | Design, build, and maintain sophisticated models to evaluate investments, assess risk, and support scenario analysis that informs strategic choices and resource allocation.

  • Market Intelligence Integration | Incorporate competitive benchmarking and market trends into financial analysis to anticipate future dynamics and guide strategic positioning.

  • Forward-Looking Insights & Strategy | Translate operational and financial data into predictive insights that influence strategy, and performance optimization.

  • Financial Modernization Leadership | Champion initiatives to modernize financial practices through automation, advanced analytics, and enhanced forecasting methodologies that elevate decision support capabilities.

  • Performance Diagnostics & Improvement | Partner with business leaders to identify performance gaps, conduct root cause analysis, and develop targeted solutions aligned with strategic objectives.

  • Stakeholder Collaboration & Advisory | Collaborate with key stakeholders to analyze performance against targets, deliver insightful recommendations, and support strategic initiatives with financial rigor.

  • Process Optimization & Innovation | Proactively identify and lead initiatives to streamline financial processes, enhance analytical capabilities, and improve operational efficiency.

  • Mentorship & Enterprise Financial Leadership | Provide mentorship, technical guidance, and training to finance team members. Serve as a trusted financial advisor to business units, promoting financial literacy and strategic alignment across the enterprise.

Job Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in Financial Accounting/Reporting or a related field.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field and/or commensurate experience.

Location

Hybrid- defined as working three or more days per week in the office if the employee's residence is within 50 miles of Westfield Center, OH/Chicago, IL; OR Remote-if the employee resides more than 50 miles from Westfield Center, OH/Chicago, IL.
