Description & Requirements
In today's fast-paced digital world, successful companies understand the importance of managing both business and IT risks. As an intern on the SOC and HITRUST team, you will play a key role in helping clients strengthen their internal controls and meet critical compliance standards. You will gain hands-on experience, assisting with the planning, execution, and reporting of a variety of compliance engagements, including SOC 1, SOC 2, and SOC 3 Examinations and HITRUST Assessments.
How you will contribute:
  • Assisting with client engagement activities throughout the entire engagement lifecycle
  • Helping conduct tests on the design and/or operating effectiveness of controls
  • Maintaining a working knowledge of assurance and compliance standards appropriate for assigned compliance engagements
  • Contributing to knowledge-sharing and process improvement efforts within the SOC and HITRUST team
  • Maintaining and achieving high quality work through collaborating effectively with internal team members
  • Delivering Forvis Mazars' commitment to Unmatched Client Experience through timely and responsive communication with internal and external clients

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree in business information technology, information systems, accounting, computer science, or a related field required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Maintaining a GPA of 3.0 or higher (in major and overall)
  • Motivated to pursue relevant professional certifications, such as the CPA, CISA, or other industry-recognized credentials, as part of long-term career development
