As a Security Professional - Transportation Site Patrol - Full Time in Astoria, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Transportation and more .

As a Screener with Allied Universal in a dynamic transportation setting, you will play an important role in maintaining a secure environment for all individuals at the location. Your primary responsibilities will include monitoring and patrolling designated areas, conducting routine checks, and remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will interact with travelers, staff, and visitors, providing excellent customer service and clear communication while upholding the highest standards of professionalism. Pay Rate: $20.75 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Conduct screening of individuals, belongings, and/or vehicles entering the transportation location in accordance with established procedures and site-specific policies.
• Provide customer service by responding to inquiries and assisting individuals as they move through screening areas.
• Carry out security-related procedures to help to deter prohibited items or unauthorized individuals from entering restricted areas.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal protocols and site guidelines.
• Document and report any irregularities, incidents, or suspicious activity observed during screening operations.
• Work collaboratively with team members and other personnel on site to maintain a secure environment for all occupants and visitors.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
