As a Security Officer Armed Patrol in Canoga Park, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense and more .

As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in supporting a secure environment at a leading aerospace and defense location. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols of assigned areas, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and responding swiftly to any incidents or requests for assistance. This position requires the carrying of a firearm as part of your duties, as well as driving company or client vehicles as needed, so a valid driver's license is required. You will interact regularly with employees and visitors, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication while upholding the highest standards of professionalism. Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing appropriate protocols for armed personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and maintain a visible presence.
• Monitor access points and check credentials to help to deter unauthorized entry to restricted areas.
• Remain alert and observant for any unusual activity or security-related concerns, reporting and documenting incidents as required.
• Collaborate with team members and law enforcement as necessary in the event of emergencies or critical situations.
• Maintain proficiency with assigned equipment and follow all Allied Universal and site-specific protocols for armed posts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid Armed Guard Card or License.
• Possess a valid driver's license and meet Allied Universal Driver Policy requirements for driving positions.
• CPR Certification is preferred.
• Handcuffing Certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
