Mobile Maintenance Mechanic

What this job involves:

As a Mobile Maintenance Mechanic at JLL, you'll be at the forefront of delivering exceptional facility maintenance services across multiple client locations. This dynamic role puts you on the road, traveling to various commercial properties where you'll diagnose, repair, and maintain critical building systems. You'll work independently while being part of a collaborative team that's collectively shaping a brighter way for our clients through proactive maintenance solutions. Your technical expertise will directly impact the operational efficiency of diverse facilities, from office buildings to industrial complexes. This position offers the opportunity to strengthen and advance your career through exposure to cutting-edge building technologies and varied maintenance challenges that will expand your skillset daily.

What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Travel to multiple client sites to perform preventive maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems
  • Diagnose equipment malfunctions and implement effective repair solutions using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
  • Conduct routine inspections of building systems and document findings in maintenance management software
  • Respond to emergency service calls and troubleshoot urgent facility issues
  • Collaborate with property managers, vendors, and JLL team members to coordinate maintenance activities
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and time spent on each service call
  • Communicate with clients professionally regarding maintenance needs and recommended improvements

Required qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent with 3+ years of experience in commercial building maintenance
  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record and reliable transportation
  • Proficiency in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general mechanical systems
  • Ability to use diagnostic tools, hand tools, and power tools safely and effectively
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various environmental conditions
  • Excellent communication skills and professional demeanor when interacting with clients

Preferred qualifications:

  • Technical certification or associate degree in facilities management, HVAC, or related field
  • EPA certification for refrigerant handling
  • Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
  • Knowledge of building automation systems and energy management
  • Previous experience in commercial real estate or facility services industry
