Job Overview:
The Behavior Analyst provides BCBA support to clinical staff regarding Behavioral High acuity cases, crisis assessments, interventions and treatment plans.

Essential Functions:
- Reviews intakes when requested by the program director and ensures that staff responds address clients' behavioral intervention needs within the timeframes designated in the state contract
- Provides BCBA Consult on all cases Assigned to CARES staff
- Conducts Behavioral Case management meetings with clinical staff at least once per month to review high acuity caseload and behavioral tools, and discuss strategies for treatment and intervention
- Reviews discharges and ensures that all behavioral needs were addressed and there is justification for closing the case
- Makes certain that there is linkage to appropriate services
- Reviews staff documentation, including assessments, treatment plans and case recording
- Recommends revisions in the case recording for clinical appropriateness and other documentation
- Makes certain that the charts are in order and the necessary forms are completed
- Consult with Trinitas-RWJBH acute inpatient D-Units, DDD case managers and supervisors as needed regarding treatment strategies, discharge plans and emerging problem situations
- Attend IDT meetings when necessary for administrative issues including placement problems
- Assists program director in implementing and monitoring client database and statistical information
- This includes preparing and submitting reports to the state or clinical reports for individual cases
- Orients and trains new staff to the program's mission, goals and methodology
- Ensures that staff is trained in behavioral intervention techniques, clinical service delivery and provide ongoing supervision to ensure compliance
- Maintains direct service caseload
- Assists the program director with reviewing/scheduling/facilitating project ECHO sessions and other direct service functions as needed
- These include assessments, developing treatment plans, off-site intervention, behavioral skills training, clinical case management and crisis intervention
- Collaborates with other hospital programs, community agencies and families on behavioral intervention and treatment planning for clients
- Assists program director in implementing and monitoring client database and statistical information
- This includes preparing and submitting reports to the state or clinical reports for individual cases
- Participates in training programs to agencies and at conferences
- Ensures documentation of interventions for your assigned caseload are completed on the CARE-MIDD electronic medical record system
- Documentation is completed within 2-3 hours of the interventions or at the discretion of the supervisor
- Maintains up to date and complete records of client information
- Uses electronic communication tools e,g, tablets, IPhones in recording information and communication with other team members
- Adheres and ensures that all hospital policies guiding the use of these devices will be followed
