Spring Mountain Treatment Center is currently seeking a dynamic professional to join our team as a Registered Nurse (RN) Manager.

The Registered Nurse (RN) Manager will assist the DON/CNO with directing, planning, coordinating, monitoring and supervising the effective and efficient use of the operations of nursing for assigned units. Oversees the delivery of behavioral health/nursing services in a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward customers always. Recognize that patient safety is a top priority.

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary treatment teams, other departments and administration to ensure that all residents' physical, biopsychosocial, age, developmental and cultural needs are met and when they are not met, acknowledge and work to resolve customer complaints.
  • Anticipate and effectively manage changes in census and acuity and allocate nursing resources based on measurement of patient acuity/care needed.
  • Role models' expectations related to customer service and demonstrated a sense of urgency related to the importance of patient safety.
  • Accountable for the standard of care at the facility, providing consultations and expertise in the delivery of care to patient.
  • Serve as a clinical and service resource to nursing staff and other staff as assigned.
  • Manage the activities of staff, coordinating safety and appropriate care between departments and disciplines.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of organizational policies and procedures for the facility.
  • Prepare reports to inform management of the status and implementation of programs, services and quality initiatives of the unit.
  • Provide direct care as neededProvide staff management to include hiring, development, training, performance management and communication to ensure effective and efficient department operation.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Spring Mountain Behavioral Services has provided mental health services to the Las Vegas community since 2001, treating children, teens, adults and senior adults with behavioral health or addiction issues. We offer a supportive and healthy environment with 24-hour care that allows people of all ages to make positive changes in their lives. Our primary location, Spring Mountain Treatment Center, focuses on the stabilization of acute symptoms for patients age 5 to 65, along with select outpatient care programs for teens. Our secondary location, Spring Mountain Sahara, houses our Adult Outpatient and Senior Adult Inpatient programs.

Spring Mountain Treatment Center is a 110-bed mental health facility that provides acute crisis stabilization services for adults, teens, and children in a secure inpatient setting. Our individualized treatment includes a structured, therapeutic environment, intensive physician involvement and oversight, and daily group and educational programs. We provide a caring and healthy environment that gives individuals a chance to make positive changes.

Qualifications

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Current Nevada RN licensure
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • One to three years of nursing leadership experience required, with psychiatric setting experince highly preferred
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Advanced nursing theory and regulatory knowledge
  • Obtain BLS Basic Life Support certification
  • New hires are required to attend 1 full week of New Employee Orientation on day shift, normally 8:00 am - 4:30 pm Monday through Friday
  • Must successfully pass background check (includes criminal history, Child Abuse and Neglect Registry, and ABI/FBI fingerprint check)
