Temple University's Department of Student Health is searching for an Interpersonal Violence Prevention Coordinator! Position Summary: The Interpersonal Violence Prevention Coordinator is part of the Wellness Resource Center, within the Division of Health & Well-Being. The Interpersonal Violence Prevention Coordinator serves as the campus lead specialist in the areas of addressing and preventing sexual assault, sexual harassment, intimate partner and dating violence, and stalking. The Interpersonal Violence Prevention Coordinator uses evidence-based interventions and practices to improve the well-being and individual students, student groups, and campus communities within the University. The Interpersonal Violence Prevention Coordinator is responsible for the planning and delivery of training for students, faculty, and staff and works to inform students of the wide variety of support resources available at Temple University and in the community. The Interpersonal Violence Prevention Coordinator aims to promote safety and respect and increase the capacity of faculty, staff, and students to support a campus community free of harm. Key functions of this position include design and delivery of workshops, events, training programs, project management, program evaluation and assessment, co-instruction of peer education public health course, and general administrative duties. The Interpersonal Violence Prevention Coordinator leads the Interpersonal Violence Prevention workgroup, a cross departmental committee aimed at promoting prevention and raising awareness. Performs other duties as assigned. This position is primarily in-person and on-campus and may be eligible for hybrid remote work (one day per week) after the probationary period. The Wellness Resource Center is Temple University's health promotion office, focused on helping the campus community understand wellness and ways to flourish. We are a team of experienced and dedicated professionals and Certified Peer Educators who work to promote wellness and create connectedness through a variety of programming and services. Required Education and Experience: * Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Social Work, Higher Education, or related field and at least three years' experience, * One year experience in interpersonal violence prevention and education practice or related field. * An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Preferred Education and Experience: * Master's degree in Public Health, Social Work, Higher Education, or related field. * Experience in community education. Required Skills and Abilities: * Demonstrated ability to coordinate and conduct health education programs for university students with a specific focus on addressing and prevention interpersonal violence. * Demonstrated ability to educate and supervise undergraduate student peer educators in lesson content, program development, implementation strategies, evaluation of programming and peer interactions. * Ability to work evening and occasional weekend hours, and travel to offsite campus locations that may not be accessible via public transportation. * Strong interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills. * Demonstrated ability to handle and prioritize diverse tasks in a fast-paced environment. * Demonstrated ability to handle and prioritize diverse tasks in a fast-paced environment. Essential Duties: * Leads sexual violence prevention initiatives for the campus community. This includes larger scale annual programmatic offerings such as Domestic Violence Awareness Month, Stalking Awareness Month, and Sexual Assault Awareness Month. *Provides various health and wellness trainings and workshops to campus partners, student organizations, residence halls, and academic classes. * Leads Temple's campus-wide, interdisciplinary workgroup focused on interpersonal violence prevention. Directs and implements workgroup projects aimed at addressing sexual violence on campus. * Collaborates with Title IX team, Tuttleman Counseling Center Sexual Assault Counseling and Education (SACE) Unit, and campus partners to develop a comprehensive Sexual Violence prevention plan for the campus. * Educates undergraduate student peer educators in lesson content delivery related to interpersonal violence prevention, health promotion, program planning, and social justice. * Plans, designs, implements and evaluates large programs/awareness campaigns for specific target populations (academic, athletes, new students, and transfer students) on health and wellness topics. * Provides individual wellness consultations to students on topics related to interpersonal violence and well-being. * Works collaboratively across the University and Division of Student Affairs in both programming and committee participation. * Supervises one student program assistant and (50) volunteer peer educators. May supervise academic internship students. * Responsible for continuous quality improvement by attending and presenting at national and local conferences in order to improve program office offerings and develop cutting edge professional and management skills. Remain current on emerging and contemporary health issues. * Assesses programs for continuous quality improvement, knowledge acquisition, and potential behavior change. Assists in collection of data related to health programming provided by the Wellness Resource Center. * Researches, assesses, and evaluates the appropriateness of evidence-based interventions to aid in the development, engagement, and retention of all students. * Assists in the development of short and long-range goals and project planning for the department and implement and evaluate goals. * Performs other duties as assigned Temple University is committed to a policy of equal opportunity for all in every aspect of its operations, including employment, service, and educational programs.
